Our first quarter at Boys Hope Girls Hope of NY (BHGH of NY) has come and gone, and with that, we are proud to announce our scholars are off to a positive start!
At BHGH of NY, we push our scholars both inside and outside of the classroom. We acknowledge the challenges our scholars often face being on a tight schedule, living up to high expectations, all while being away from home. Nonetheless, our young men and women never cease to amaze us. We would like to praise all of our amazing scholars for their hard work and dedication in their first quarter at our partner schools, Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School and Cristo Rey Brooklyn.
This first quarter we are proud to announce that 74% of our students have earned grades that are meeting, exceeding, and exemplary according to BHGH’s standard of an overall 85.0 GPA. Of that, the number of scholars who are meeting and exceeding standards are tied:
- 22 scholars (out of 84 total scholars) have earned a GPA between 85.0-88.5
- 22 scholars have exceeded our standards by earning a GPA between 88.5-92.5.
16 scholars have made their way to the Dean’s List, earning a 93.0 GPA or above.
On behalf of the BHGH of NY family, we would like to congratulate our young scholars for their continuous commitment to their academics and our organization! We are so proud of your efforts and urge you to continue the excellent work in the upcoming semester.
