Keeping the Dream Alive: BHGHNY observes MLK jr. Day

45 years after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., BHGHNY scholars paused from their classes and assignments today to honor the fallen civil rights leader and participate in a day of service around Brooklyn. While some scholars worked in conjunction with the NYC Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH) others helped clean and paint rooms at The Hope City Empowerment Center in Prospect Heights, St. Mary's Church in Clinton Hill, and the OPIN Soup Kitchen in Brownsville.
